Hi Kwan, re: > Here is the GEMPAK color table in the attachment. OK. I got together with Michael James (our GEMPAK person) yesterday to discuss the problem you reported with correctly viewing the PS remapped hires topography image created by McIDAS. Michael found that the fix for the problem is for you to modify your GEMPAK imgtyp.tbl file. Here is the information he sent me last night: Line 737 of https://github.com/Unidata/gempak/blob/master/gempak/tables/sat/imgtyp.tbl#L737 TOPO TOPO_DEM5 0 95 33 16 1 upc_dem5.tbl should be changed to TOPO TOPO_DEM5 0 240 33 16 1 upc_dem5.tbl (or upc_hires.tbl) Apparently the problem was that GEMPAK was recognizing the remapped image as topography and was using the top table entry which will map the 240 image levels in the remapped image to 96 values. Please give the fix a try and let us know if it works to your satisfaction (Michael tried this here, and he says the display of the remapped image looks OK with the above change). re: > Thanks again, No worries.
