Hi Wei,
re:
> The IP address that your LDM would see for our LDM should be 164.165.173.77
After doing a Google (tm) search for 'deq.idaho.gov' yesterday, I found that
the (your?) web server is www.deq.idaho.gov. I did an 'nslookup' on that
name, and I found out that its IP address is 164.165.173.3. Assuming that
the machine on which you are attempting to run the LDM would be in the same
subnet (164.165), I did a search of yesterday's LDM log files on all of the
real-server backends of our IDD relay clusters looking for any indication
that your machine had attempted a connection, and was being denied. Because
of this negative result, I, and others in Unidata, were left assuming that
the external IP address of your LDM machine would be in a different subnet.
Request:
Please setup the following 'notifyme' invocation and leave it running so
we can verify/refute whether or not your LDM is actually able to contact
our IDD relay:
<as the user running the LDM on your AWIPS machine>
notifyme -vl- -f ANY -h idd.unidata.ucar.edu
As soon as you verify that this is running, I will search our LDM log
files to see if your 'notifyme' is actually reaching any of our LDMs.
