Hi Erik, re: send results of 'notifyme -vl- -f ANY -h idd.unidata.ucar.edu' > On verify1 > 20180912T150153.574569Z notifyme[12460] NOTE notifyme.c:385:main() Starting > Up: idd.unidata.ucar.edu: 20180912150153.574230 TS_ENDT {{ANY, ".*"}} > 20180912T150153.574632Z notifyme[12460] NOTE ldm5_clnt.c:460:forn5() LDM-5 > desired product-class: 20180912150153.574230 TS_ENDT {{ANY, ".*"}} > 20180912T150153.586205Z notifyme[12460] INFO error.c:236:err_log() > Resolving idd.unidata.ucar.edu to 128.117.140.3 took 0.001597 seconds The fact that the attempted contact to idd.unidata.ucar.edu went no further than resolving its IP address shows that the connection attempt did NOT make it to idd.unidata.ucar.edu. Given that the firewall for idd.unidata.ucar.edu (and iddb.unidata.ucar.edu) is open to connections from .gov sites, it is our belief that the firewall (or intrusion detection software being run) at your site is blocking the outbound traffic to port 388 on idd.unidata.ucar.edu. > On verify2 > > 20180912T150002.319823Z notifyme[22793] NOTE notifyme.c:385:main() Starting > Up: idd.unidata.ucar.edu: 20180912150002.319 > 400 TS_ENDT {{ANY, ".*"}} > 20180912T150002.319930Z notifyme[22793] NOTE ldm5_clnt.c:460:forn5() LDM-5 > desired product-class: 20180912150002.319400 > TS_ENDT {{ANY, ".*"}} > 20180912T150002.322872Z notifyme[22793] INFO error.c:236:err_log() > Resolving idd.unidata.ucar.edu to 128.117.140.3 took > 0.002813 seconds This output shows the same thing as the output from verify1. You will need to contact your networking folks and request that they allow outbound requests to port 388 on our IDD top level relay, idd.unidata.ucar.edu. While you are at it, you should also request that outbound requests to port 388 on iddb.unidata.ucar.edu also be opened.
