Hi SJ, 'pnga2area' is part of the ldm-mcidas package; 'dcnldn' is part of GEMPAK. I don't recall ever seeing what the OS for your new machine. Can you send us the output of 'uname -a'? TIA... If your new machine is 64-bit and running a newer release of Linux, then I can make a binary release of the as yet unreleased (v2012) ldm-mcidas package. The info in 'uname -a' will help me determine if this binary distribution will work for you. As far as your problems with 'dcnldn', Michael will have to help out with that as it is a GEMPAK issue.
