[LDM #BET-183387]: Question about reload ldmd.conf

Yes.

The only way to "reload the ldmd.conf" file is to stop+start/restart the LDM:

<as 'ldm'>
-- make whatever modifications to ~ldm/etc/ldmd.conf are needed

ldmadmin restart
