[LDM #FQJ-295802]: LDM install problem on OpenSuse 11.3

I suspect that the problem starts in the libxml2 library.

I recommend against using the "--prefix" option because the LDM 
installation-structure is designed to allow upgrading an existing LDM 
installation and also reverting back to a previous version if the new version 
doesn't work. The prefix you specified would prevent that.

There's not enough information to determine the cause of the problem.

Do you have an LDM user? May I log onto the system in question as that user? If 
not, then would you please build the LDM system with debugging enabled (i.e., 
CFLAGS=-g).
