Hi Dave,

I saw messages in ~ldm/logs/ldmd.log.1 while I was on your machine building
the ldm-mcidas 'pnga2area' decoder.
If you recall, I changed the pqact.conf actions for the UNIWISC images to log
to ~ldm/logs/ldm-mcidas.log. While I was on your machine, I saw LOTS of
messages
being logged to that file. (I also made a comment about the need to keep an eye
on the size of the ldm-mcidas.log file and recommended a crontab entry that
would
rotate the file).

Logging from pnga2area to ~ldm/logs/ldm-mcidas.log was working nicely, but
a quick check of ~ldm/etc/pqact.conf shows that someone removed logging to
that file.
Just so you know, I prefer to have the pnga2area log messages go to a different
file from the LDM-specific log messages. The reason for this is that it is much
easier to troubleshoot the LDM if ldmd.log is not full of non-LDM log messages.
Cheers,
Tom
