Marc, You might want to try *also* getting data from the LDM on host idd.unidata.ucar.edu. If you can get data from there but have problems getting data from idd.cise-nsf.gov, then the problem lies between you and NSF. If you have problems getting data from both, then the problem lies "close" to you (in some sense). Your new LDM has the ability to automatically switch reception modes between multiple sources of data, so we recommend getting the same data from two upstream sites. See the documentation on your version of the LDM at the LDM homepage <http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/ldm>. Because your campus has good Internet connections, it's likely that the problem is a bad router, or firewall rules, or packet shaping, or something like that. Good luck.
