Since you are not logging, there is either a permissions/ownership issue or it is not configured properly in ldmadmin..this will be in home/ldm/bin. If you cannot find how or where to implement logging from our docs: http://my.unidata.ucar.edu/content/software/ldm/index.html please send me a copy of your ldmadmin file and I will look at it..
