Please check permissions along this path:

dm% ldmadmin stop
/space/home/ldm/bin/ldmadmin: Permission denied
ldm% cd /space
ldm% ls -l

here at /space 

home needs write permissions for the group, then check ldm.

I also made a data dir, we had a symbolic link to it, but no actual
directory..I think once we get this path opened up for the ldm we should
be ready to go..
