I misunderstood your question. I thought you were saying something had changed between the versions, and you wanted to go back to the old way. Also, I learned that the 'usePil' variable only applies to WMO feeds. So using it with the AFOS feed will not make a difference. I apologize for the misinformation. As you probably know, NWWS is not a stream to which we subscribe, so it's a low priority item for us. If you have a sample of the new products (without the PILs) you could always test pqing with it and see what happens. I'd try two tests: in one call the feed 'AFOS' and in the other call it 'WMO' or 'DDS'. This is to see how our two routines, scan_afos and scan_wmo, work with the new product. I have no idea whether the code will need to be modified, as I do not have a sample of the product. I'm currently swamped, what with workshops happening in a month. After that I would be willing to spend a brief amount of time to see if I could get it to work easily if you could provide me with some sample data. But, this wouldn't happen until mid-August. Are the PILS are going away some time in September? Anne -- *************************************************** Anne Wilson UCAR Unidata Program address@hidden P.O.
