Thanks.  I don't foresee us abusing this privilege, but
we may login to do a test build of the ldm-mcidas decoders
where the location of the LDM shared library is "burned in"
to the executable (so that LD_LIBRARY_PATH does not enter
the picture).

No worries.  This is a weird one that, by the way, is not
supposed to happen according to standards documents.
