Hi Bill, re: > I've been trying to access metars from the IDV dashboard for several > days, from different servers, with no luck. Keep getting 'no data > available'. Please let me know what's happening and if this info is > available online. Thanks. We just found out that the McIDAS-X decoders on adde.ucar.edu (which is currently pointing to atm.ucar.edu) stopped working several days ago when the system ran out of shared memory. I have cleaned up the problem and restarted the LDM, and data is once again being decoded. We operate more than one ADDE server where POINT, IMAGE, GRID and TEXT data can be accessed: adde.ucar.edu (currently pointing to atm.ucar.edu to offload the machine so we can do an hardware upgrade) atm.ucar.edu adde.ssec.wisc.edu lead.unidata.ucar.edu Switching to point at one of the other servers should get you going.
