Hi Brendon, For some unknown reason the machine that adde.ucar.edu is currently pointing to (atm.ucar.edu) ran out of shared memory and the McIDAS-X decoders that create the POINT files that you are trying to access failed. The problem has now been fixed; old files cleaned out; and the LDM bounced. All POINT data is once again being created, so your plotting attempts should return to being successful. We operate several servers where McIDAS-decoded files (e.g., POINT files from METARs, etc.) are available: adde.ucar.edu (currently pointing to atm.ucar.edu to offload access on motherlode.unidata.ucar.edu so we can do a hardware upgrade) atm.ucar.edu adde.ssec.wisc.edu lead.unidata.ucar.edu Switching to one of the other servers for your METAR data access should work when the data are not available from other servers.
