[IDV #DQD-886981]: Problem by IDV and NetCDF

Hi Ferdy,
I think it is just a matter of correctly accessing the catalog URL. In the IDV
Dashboard, Data Choosers tab, go to the Catalog node and enter
https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/opendap/hyrax/MODISA/L3SMI/2016/catalog.xml
I obtained this URL navigating here in a web browser:
https://oceandata.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/opendap/hyrax/MODISA/L3SMI/2016/
and scrolling all the way to the bottom of the page to find the THREDDS Catalog
XML.
In the IDV, you will then be presented a hierarchy of data sources from the
OpenDAP server. You can then navigate to the data sources you were trying to
load.
Best,
Unidata IDV Support
