[IDV #DIM-196117]: color table in IDV

Hi Joris,

Thanks for the information. Do you get the same behavior/error if you use the 
nightly build,

https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/idv/nightly/index.jsp

or the previous release,

https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/downloads/idv/2_9u3/index.jsp

both using the Installer for Mac OS-X?
