Hi Rick,

    I spent some time researching this issue, and the problem is in the 
FlatField.java. In this file, line 4633:
((SimpleSet) domainSet).valueToInterp(vals, indices, coefs);

somehow the indices not being calculated right. It is the visad code, and I 
figure you may want to spend some time to find out 
the logic behind it.
