[IDV #GYJ-850652]: save data locally

Can you describe the data you are accessing? Is it grids? What kind of server 
is it on?
Is the delay in the network latency of reading the data or in the rendering?

Most of the remote data sources can be saved locally. Right click on the data 
source entry
in the Field Selector and there will be a "Write local grid" menu item if it 
can be saved locally.

Note: for grids the IDV will prompt you for the parameters to be saved.
