The problem would be determining the default.  The level
can be set in several ways - the hard coded default, the
idv.properties, the default bundle, or the user going in 
and changing it through the widget.

No, we haven't thought too much, but don't really have
a good solution.

One thing you could do is have a default bundle that sets
just the view (projection and scale) and then you could 
add the icon to your toolbar to reload the default bundle.
