[IDV #IXN-331610]: IDV 2.0 on RHEL4

When you say "it either appears briefly then vanishes", do you
mean the IDV exits, or that the display area turns grey?  

If the latter, what kind of video card do you have in this system?
Is the latest update of the video driver installed?

Does the IDV originally come up with a map displayed?
