Hi Chris,
Appreciate any clarification on the following. I have been able to view Level II data in quasi-real-time from our in-house LDM feed. Thus, I can repeatedly go into the Data Source Chooser and hit Update within the Radar tab to see when a new volume scan of data has arrived and load it. I just wanted to verify that IDV does not have a mechanism to automatically update the display once a new volume scan has arrived, correct?=20
Actually it does. In the Level II radar chooser under "Use Relative Times"you can select to use one or more of the latest files in the given directory. When you do this the data source will be added as normal. However, if you right click on the data soruce entry in the data selector window you can choose to "Turn On Polling" This will cause the data source to poll the given directory and reload the data if there are new files. You can define the file pattern to match with in the Level II chooser.
Right clicking on the data source you can also choose to "Set Polling Properties"
In this dialog you can define a different polling interval. -Jeff
