The level is defined as:
float level(level) ;
level:long_name = "Height_Index" ;
level:units = "level" ;
level:actual_range = 1050.f, 0.f ;
with values of:
level = 0.025, 0.075, 0.125, 0.175, 0.225, 0.275, 0.325, 0.375, 0.425,
0.475, 0.525, 0.575, 0.625, 0.675, 0.725, 0.775, 0.825, 0.87, 0.91,
0.945, 0.97, 0.985, 0.995 ;
These look like sigma values or something. Since "level" is
not a valid unit, the IDV doesn't know what to do with this.

Right now, the IDV doesn't support a sigma vertical coordinate,
so the post-process would need to output pressure or height
values.
