What type of display are you trying to show? If you are trying an isosurface
or volume display, I could understand this. The computations for that using
radar data are intense. We will be working on improving the performance
for these radar displays in the future. For now, I would stick to
sweep, CAPPI and RHI displays.
You can increase the amount of memory allotted to the IDV by modifying
the runIDV script. Change any occurance of -Xmx512m to -Xmx1024m.
