Jean,

Great, then as ldm (not gempak), execute:

ldmadmin restart


You should see a message indicating the LDM is shutting down..and then
starting up..


..or if you prefer:

ldmadmin stop


wait, check for the processes to end, then execute:

ldmadmin start
