Re: 20020903: IDD failover site for SJSU needed

Hello Harry,

Mike Voss at San Jose State is experiencing some latency issues and
reliability issues from his primary feed aeolus.ucsd.edu

SJSU machine name is:

rossby.met.sjsu.edu

We are hoping there is room for another "allow" on sunny89.

Mike, is it the "UNIDATA" feed you request from aeolus or do you require
other products. Jump in if this is not the allow you desire.

Harry,

If you can place this "allow" as a failover it would be greatly
appreciated..and send some of that cool air our way, in the 90's here...
AGAIN!

Keep me posted!

Thank you,

-Jeff

Jeff and Harry,

My current request to aeolus looks like:
-----
request NEXRAD "^SDUS5." aeolus.ucsd.edu
request NMC3 ".*" aeolus.ucsd.edu
request DDPLUS ".*" aeolus.ucsd.edu
request MCIDAS "^pnga2area" aeolus.ucsd.edu
request HDS ".*" 132.239.114.58
--------

.....which translates to UNIDATA, and FNEXRAD (NMC3). I'm running LDM 5.2 now
so I can change to FNEXRAD.

Thanks for your help!

Mike

PS,
Aeolus was down again last night for about 10 hours for "no apparent reason"
according to Larry.

I made it UNIDATA|FMEXRAD|NNEXRAD.
