'motherlode' has been receiving the imagery with apparently no problems.

You can always use motherlode to do a quick check of UW stream image
delivery using McIDAS' ADDE capabilities as follows:

DATALOC ADD RTIMAGES ADDE.UCAR.EDU    <- "point" at motherlode
DSINFO IMAGE RTIMAGES                 <- find out what ADDE dataset
                                         elements (group/descriptor)
                                         are available
IMGLIST RTIMAGES/GE-IR.ALL            <- list out all of the GOES-East
                                         IR (10.7 um band) images
                                         are available

FYI, adde.ucar.edu is just an alias for motherlode.ucar.edu.
