For the 5.11.1 make log that you attached, the error "/usr/include/python2.2/pyport.h", line 437.2: 1506-205 (S) #error "LONG_BIT definition appears wrong for platform (bad gcc/glibc config?)." seems to be a result of a broken or old compiler. Can you check and report back the glibc version on your system typing "/lib/libc.so.6" on the command line.
