Marty, Can you tell me if the 32 bit binary performs the same as the 64 bit binary? I have been trying to duplicate your trouble using the Garp from the 5.10.3 binary distribution under FC7 and have not yet seen the problem you show. You should probably try the 5.10.3 distribution 64 and 32 bit binaries to see if that makes a difference. The 5.10.2 binaries were compiled using FC4 and FC5, while the newer 5.10.3 are FC7 and FC5 for 32bit and 64 bit respectively. There has been a bit or transition in the Xext, Xmu and Xft library dependencies of Motif, so the 32 bit binary from 5.10.3 would be the best starting point to see if that works better with your FC7 environment.
