If you have a GRIB file from the wrfpost program, you can convert it to GEMPAK using: "cat gribfile | dcgrib2 -d - -v 1 YYYYMMDDHHfFFF_wrf.gem" The above will create hourly forecast output files and log the decoding to the terminal window so you can view the output. Depending on whether you changes the modeling center number the above will decode the WRF parameters. If you have over-ridden the modeling center ID number, then you will have to create your $GEMTBL/grid/cntrgribX.tbl entry and associated $GEMTBL/grid/"centr"gribX.tbl files.
