[GEMPAK #OLD-938565]: GEMPAK: metric units supported?

Jeff,

GEMPAK does all the calculations in SI units. Display is dependent on the user
specifiction. For example, P06M is precipitation in millimeters, while
P06I is precipitation in inches. The primary unit conversion for grids being
decoded is to store pressure values in millibars by convention (eg **-2)
instead of Pascals though you can always scale the units back to Pa for
plots.
