John, Since your gdinfo show the corners of -90;0 and 90;-1, you try the following for GAREA: GAREA = grid or GAREA = -90;0;90;359 or even: GAREA = -90;-180;90;180 and/or GAREA = 0;0;0;0 The GEMPAK library has had rewrites for handling the wrap around since the 5.6.j version you mention.
