Charles, Your symptoms sound like problems noted in a previous version of GEMPAK: http://my.unidata.ucar.edu/cgi-bin/getfile?file=/content/support/help/MailArchives/gempak/msg03558.html In the above, using templates worked, but not explicit file names. Can you tell me what version/OS you are using? I did a test with 5.8.2a and it now works for me, though I believe that you will have to use GDATTIM=fall rather than "all" as you show below.
