Hi Liam, We recommend that developers use a higher level netcdf-java package instead of the low level grib package that requires one to know the messy details of grib. The netcdf-java package is located at : http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf-java/ Also, you should first look at our data site: http://motherlode.ucar.edu/thredds/catalog.html under NCEP model data/ WW3 type grib products. You can use a program ToolsUI to look at the data. This should give you an idea of the type of functionality available. Then download the netcdf-java package and look at you data using ToolsUI, there is documentation/tutorials there too. Robb...
