Hi Jerry, re: > When IDD.ssec.wisc.edu went down yesterday, that impacted our primary way to > get the > CONDUIT feed. Would it be possible to point to a second non University of > Wisconsin > site that we could use as a backup? Absolutely. Assuming that the machine(s) you want to REQUEST CONDUIT from have forward and reverse DNS, you can immediately feed from: idd.unidata.ucar.edu - primary top level IDD relay node at Unidata/UCAR iddb.unidata.ucar.edu - secondary/backup top level IDD relay node at Unidata/UCAR I would prefer that you REQUEST from iddb.unidata.ucar.edu as this will help us distribute the load. re: > Since some of the data on CONDUIT are critical to > several of our projects always having a backup site available would be useful. For a full time backup use idd.unidata.ucar.edu. FYI: If your machine(s) meet the caveat listed above (DNS), you should also be able to REQUEST from: idd.meteo.psu.edu idd.tamu.edu re: > Thanks for your help. No worries.
