Jerry, NWS was performing some router maintenance this morning. The downtime was expected to be short, but it appears that posting of the 12Z eta to CONDUIT was affected, and the GFS 1 degree only saw 171-180 hours posted. Its possible that the maintenance referenced below had some effect causing the file posting triggers to be missed by the systems inserting the data into CONDUIT. We'll check into this. Steve Chiswell Unidata User Support ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Monday Aug 8 2005 at 7:00am EDT (11:00 UTC), we will modify the network configuration of our public router at the NWS Telecommunications Gateway (NWSTG Washington, DC). A maintenance period of 1hr is scheduled, but we hope the actual downtime will be less. Affected Traffic: The scheduled network modifications are part of the TG migration to its replacement network structure. We expect the following traffic will not be affected during the configuration changes: Radar multicast Traffic from directly connected customers Radar level 2 Alaska sockets We expect all traffic to our public networks will be affected during the maintenance period. Below is a list of some of the affected traffic: Administrative traffic from the Campus and SSMC2 to public networks Access to TG public servers Access to Hydrology Radar LDM to regions Critical Weather: If the scheduled date is designated a Critical Weather Day, the outage will be postponed. We apologize for any inconvenience that this outage may cause. Please contact me if the timing of this outage presents a critical problem for your operations. Please forward this message to anyone who will be affected by this action but was left off the mailing list. I would appreciate if you would send me the email address of anyone that should be informed of scheduled downtime in the future, but was not included in the current list. Also, inform me if you wish to have your name removed from this list.
