Problem with CONDUIT grib files and WRF
- Subject: Problem with CONDUIT grib files and WRF

Hello (Steve?),
As of the Jan 4 6Z runs, I've been unable to initialize the WRF
model using the CONDUIT ETA212 grib files (or the GFS). It appears that
the problem is that the files since the 4th, the times are out of order in
the file and the WRF Standard Initialization can't handle that.
Previously, the grib file fieldswould be ordered in time. Gempak decoding
works fine however. I recall that ncep was going to fool with the way
files were put into the CONDUIT stream. So is this a problem with the
WRFSI or with NCEP? In the mean time, is there a simple way to reorder
the grib files? Thanks.
Mike
(I will also send this message to the WRF people.)
