Hi there,

If you are new to CAVE and AWIPS, I would highly recommend checking out some of
our
free, online training materials found at:
https://unidata.github.io/awips2/appendix/educational-resources/
We have an online learning course for CAVE called "Learn AWIPS CAVE" that you
can
complete at your own pace. Section 4 of the learning module walks through how
to
use the Volume Browser to load almost the exact same data we've been talking
about
with you.
We also have many blogs about CAVE, found lower down on that same page:
https://unidata.github.io/awips2/appendix/educational-resources/#cave
And we have a previous blog about using the Volume Browser that you can see
here:
https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/blogs/news/entry/awips-tips-explore-the-cave1
Another blog about viewing CIRA products in GOES here:
https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/blogs/news/entry/awips-tips-colorized-goes-cira
The different GOES data can be easily loaded from the satellite menu. If you're
interested in data over the Pacific Ocean, you might want to load GOES WEST
data,
but GOES EAST should have some coverage closer to the coast line as well.
Please let me know if you find any of this useful.
Thanks!
