Hello, My colleagues and I are doing some exploring into this, however it's not looking promising. According to this website: https://madis.ncep.noaa.gov/mesonet_providers.shtml the RAWS dataset has restricted distribution to government, research, and education organizations. So while we (Unidata) may be able to get the data, we can not ingest, display, or redistribute it to the general public (aka on our public AWIPS system). There may be an opportunity if you set up your own EDEX that you could receive the data and display it locally within your fire department. > Hello Unidata AWIPS/CAVE Support, > > Curious if there is a capability to display the RAWS network (Remote > Automated Weather Stations) of surface observations ? The RAWS are critical > data set wild land firefighting and supplement the METAR observations.
