Hello,

Are you still experiencing this error? Typically that error occurs if our EDEX 
server is down, but I just checked and it's up. Do you have access to the 
internet? 

Try removing caveData and restarting CAVE 
(http://unidata.github.io/awips2/appendix/common-problems/#windows).
