To address the first wish (Python3 AWIPS for Mac), we are actively working on 
this with our v20 
beta release which we hope to have out shortly after the new year.  We've hit a 
few speed bumps 
most recently, but we're working through them.

The second one...something I wasn't aware stopped working.  I can ask around 
for that.
