>Hello! Was reading something on Hazard Services in AWIPS and was >wondering when/if it’s open to the public yet? Also what exactly >is it? From my understanding it merges GFE, Warngen, and the hydro >warning generator (I forget it’s name), is this correct? Hello, At this point, we don't have a timeline when Hazard Services will be released as part of Unidata's AWIPS. Currently we are working on a version 20 that has updated python and java, but are not including Hazard Services in the initial release. Once we've fully transitioned to version 20 we can take a look at Hazard Services. Hazard Services, once fully operational in the National Weather Service, will replace GHG, Warngen, and RiverPro. However it is a multi-year/phase project that has only just begun. You can read more about it here: https://esrl.noaa.gov/gsd/eds/hazardservices/ Thanks, Tiffany Meyer AWIPS Lead Software Engineer UCAR-Unidata If you're interested, please feel free to fill out a survey about the support you receive: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeDIkdk8qUMgq8ZdM4jhP-ubJPUOr-mJMQgxInwoAWoV5QcOw/viewform Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: IVJ-271297 Department: Support AWIPS Priority: Normal Status: Open =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
