Hi Harrison, > One of my classmates tried running the visualization app on his laptop > but it kept crashing the system for him. Do you know if he was seeing any actual errors from CAVE when this was happening? > This is the system he's trying to use: > Processor: AMD Ryzen 3 3250U with Radeon Graphics, 2600 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 > Logical Processor(s) > BaseBoard Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. > System Model: VivoBook_ASUSLaptop X412DAP_F412DA > OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home Do you know how much disc space and how much RAM the machine has? Having an AMD graphics card can cause problems when trying to load/render some products, but it shouldn't be causing CAVE to crash. I could see if either the machine is out of disc space or if there isn't very much RAM, then that could possibly be causing the issues. --Shay Carter She/Her/Hers AWIPS Software Engineer UCAR - Unidata If you're interested, please feel free to fill out a survey about the support you receive: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeDIkdk8qUMgq8ZdM4jhP-ubJPUOr-mJMQgxInwoAWoV5QcOw/viewform Ticket Details =================== Ticket ID: NLY-733318 Department: Support AWIPS Priority: High Status: Open =================== NOTE: All email exchanges with Unidata User Support are recorded in the Unidata inquiry tracking system and then made publicly available through the web.
