Hi Justin,

Couple things I noticed:

-in the h5 dump you attached, there are quite a few fields that are empty - a 
big one being stationId and stationName (also longitude and latitude)
-I'm not sure the getMetarObs function will work on this data since not all of 
the parameters are the same

Do you actually have LDAD running to ingest the mesonet files?

Is your EDEX publically available that we could connect to it via python-awips 
and do some trouble shooting? Since this is a product we don't currently 
support we can't test it.
