Hi Wei,
Glad you are able to view the GOES data in CAVE now.
The simplest solution to changing your purge rules is to back-up and then
remove all the current purge rules in
/awips2/edex/data/utility/common_static/base/purge except for the
defaultPurgeRules.xml. Then edit the defaultPurgeRules and set the period to 7.
<purgeRuleSet>
<defaultRule>
<period>07-00:00:00</period>
</defaultRule>
</purgeRuleSet>
You shouldn't have to restart EDEX!
