fresh install

This archive contains answers to questions sent to Unidata support through mid-2025. Note that the archive is no longer being updated. Fresh EDEX install on fresh centos 6.2 install using ./installEDEX.sh results in:

Error: Package: awips2-database-16.1.5-1.noarch (awips2repo)

           Requires: netcdf

----

 

 

However when installing awips2-data.gfe-16.1.5-1.noarch prior to install results in:

 

----

Running Transaction

            Erasing : awips2-data.gfe-16.1.5-1.noarch

            Verifying         : awips2-data.gfe-16.1.5-1.noarch

 

Removed:

            awips2-data.gfe-16.1.5-1.noarch

----

 

And then returns the prior error “Requires: netcdf” which the ‘data’ repository is supposed to contain J
