Indeed, such an effort is underway. As a windows and .NET novice, I welcome 
collaboration.

I need a week, however, to rework the build infrastructure, which currently 
uses Gnu's Autotools (which is Unix-specific). I would like to migrate the 
build system to the use of Gradle -- which supports both Unix and Windows -- 
and a continuous-delivery pipeline.

Is this acceptable?
