Apparently not:
~/udunits2: bin/udunits2
udunits2: Character encoding not specified and not settable from
environment variables LC_ALL, LC_CTYPE, or LANG. Assuming ASCII encoding.
udunits2: Using default XML database
You have: seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
udunits2: Don't recognize "seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z"
It does accept "1970-01-01 00:00:00Z".
Not accepting the string is a bug. Thanks for pointing it out.
It'll be fixed in the production release.
