The calling-conventions are specified in the CPPFLAGS environment variable before executing the configure script. Please try the following: 1. Go to the top-level source-directory. 2. Perform steps 3 through 5 described near the end of http://my.unidata.ucar.edu/content/software/udunits/INSTALL.txt 3. Ensure that the environment variable CPPFLAGS contains the string "-Df2CFortran" (assuming you're either using g77(1) or don't need the Fortran interface). For example export CPPFLAGS='-Df2CFortran -DNDEBUG' 4. Perform steps 6 through 9 described near the end of http://my.unidata.ucar.edu/content/software/udunits/INSTALL.txt Please let me know if this helps. Regards, Steve Emmerson
