I was writing a response explaining that, guess now I don't have to. :) One other thing I'll mention though is xdfopen, I've had luck with that in the past on poorly formatted netCDF data but it's been a while so I don't recall what exactly you need to make that work. I know you have to write some kind of control file that explains the data, that gets used instead of the netCDF internal metadata. If you can figure out what that control file needs there's a chance you could get that to work, but in all honesty that's outside of my wheelhouse. > Thanks for your prompt response anyway, it's been helpful.
