Hi Victor, I assume you are trying to hit thredds.ucar.edu. If you are hitting a different TDS, then you may need to contact the appropriate site administrators to find out what is going on for your requests. Generally speaking, the GFS output will be available roughly 3 hours after synoptic time - this is the time it takes for the models to run, the output files to be disseminated, etc. It's not always consistent, and sometimes the files are available in as little as 2-1/2 hours from synoptic time, but it's nothing that we here at Unidata can control. On the other hand, if you are seeing datasets failing to update at all (i.e., synoptic time was 6 hours ago and no files are available), then please let us know.
